From 23-25 January, market leaders from across the sectors will gather at London’s ExCeL, giving visitors a chance to source the latest products and solutions all under one roof.
Exhibitors include Advanced Engineering, Broughton Electro Air Products, Business Edge, Carrier Rental Systems UK, Fieldpiece Instruments, First Choice Refrigeration Spares, Fujitsu General Air Conditioning UK, Haier, Hawco, Johnson Controls HVAC Parts, Parcel Holders, Polyaire, Rapid Climate Control, Smith Brothers Stores, Testo and many more.
The show has come at an important time for the industry, said Bill Barlow, business unit director UK – ACR and OEM, Conex Bänninger: “Having gone through a period of transition in recent years, driven by technology, regulation and customer choices, the acr sector in the UK is poised to transform again. This time it will be a press revolution that brings about change as the market converts from traditional brazing to flame-free press.”
It’s also particularly timely for Brymec, said marketing manager Wayne D’ Aranjo: “The three days of the show will be an ideal opportunity for those who haven’t worked with us previously to speak to our team to find out what we can offer. We plan to showcase pioneering, top quality products that make the installer’s life easier and more productive.”
Established in 1958, FG Europe is one of the largest air conditioning distributors in Europe and holds exclusive agreements to distribute Midea Air Conditioning products in many territories, with The HVAC & Refrigeration Show acting as its UK launchpad.
Headed up in the UK by ex-Fujitsu and Hitachi general manager Martin Richards, two new offices have been established, one in London and one in Newcastle, boasting a team of industry proven individuals ready to provide the market's fastest and most dedicated pre-and post-sales support nationwide.
Mr Richards brings his extensive experience to launching Midea UK with a clear vision on how much the brand can bring to this marketplace. Further to sourcing new products from market leaders, visitors will be able to take advantage of the wealth of knowledge on offer at the show.
There are two seminar theatres: The HVACR Theatre, sponsored by Opteon, and the Training & Skills Theatre, sponsored by Toshiba. The action-packed seminar programme will feature CPD accredited presentations by key industry figures from leading companies.
In the HVACR Theatre, James Henley, chiller product manager at Daikin Applied (UK) will be discussing ‘Chiller Technology & Efficiency’. Meanwhile, Fujitsu’s technical manager, Martyn Ives, will explain why ‘Controls are Key’ and Mark Hughes, business development manager, Chemours/Opten TM will cover the ‘F-Gas phase down: the cliff – how to survive.’ The same theatre will also feature talks from A-Gas, Seeley International, GEA, FG Europe, The Food Storage & Distribution Federation and more.
In the Training & Skills Theatre, Rob Smelt, a building services engineer at Toshiba will offer ‘A guide to tackling a project using air cooled VRF’. In addition, senior mechanical engineer Graeme Fox will talk ‘F Gas: making it work properly: compliance and better regulation by REFCOM’ and SkillFRIDGE project manager Mark Forsyth will explain the importance of skills competitions and ‘Going for Gold.’ There will also be talks from WorldSkills UK, BESA, and others, with the IOR holding in its annual conference in the Training & Skills theatre on the Thursday.
The brand-new Industry Insight Series, meanwhile, will see a leading panel of experts discuss ‘Well Buildings’ in the Training & Skills Theatre on the Tuesday and ‘Food transportation post Brexit’ in the HVACR Theatre on the Wednesday.
